CUSTOM LOG HOMES
Many of our designs also feature log or timber-frame roof and floor structures which allow you to utilize space under the rafters. This gives you a much more handcrafted feeling then conventional roof systems. Also, it allows us to efficiently install solid T&G wood paneling on the roof and ceiling from above, not below.
Our log packages are the most complete packages available; a majority of options come standard with a full log roof and 2nd floor system, tongue and groove wood ceilings, custom handcrafted log stairs, full log deck posts, etc.

BUILDING YOUR LOG CABIN
Our most popular log styles are our rustic hand peeled D logs and 2-sided full round handcrafted logs. These are chinker style logs, meaning the chinking (on the inside and out) do the sealing. With today’s high grade synthetic latex chinking, it’s a very effective way to seal a log home. Both log styles can be ordered skip peeled, clean peeled or no peel at all.
And, we offer a choice of handcrafted saddle notched corners or butt & pass corners (D logs only) We also offer milled T&G logs for those on a tight budget or doesn’t like the look of chinking. Custom log homes that are tailored for you.
CHINKER STYLE LOG HOMES
We build “chinker” style log home packages because chinking is the most effective sealing system available. The modern latext based chinking material such as LogJam will last 20 to 30 years (if properly maintained).
Our log home packages are the most complete log packages on the market.

We are a local Colorado builder, and have been in business for over 20 years. Also, all our logs come from Colorado (ABC – Always Buy Colorado). Our dead-standing Englemann Spruce is the driest and most environmentally friendly building material on earth.
If you see Kiln-dried logs, RUN! These logs were cut green. Our logs are dried in the forest before they ever get to the mill, and are flattened top and bottom. This provides you a nice, uniform bearing surface. You will not find screw jacks or through bolts to adjust in our log homes. And, our zero settling system means fewer problems down the road.

Because we build for many owner/builders, who do their own finish out (after we leave) many of the photos do not reflect the beauty of the finished product. Eventhough every home is a custom design based on the customer and other factors such as location, altitude, exposure, use, etc., most plans are merely a modification to plans we have already built. So we can benefit from past experience and improve on lessons learned each time we build a new home.
